We have a winner! Thanks for voting, everyone.
We have a winner! Thanks for voting, everyone.

Entry #6 is the winner. Let’s give a big shout out to Jasmin Thibert for her efforts!

Personally, I wanted #11 or #16 to win because of the concepts but even I don’t have the power to judge -_-

(This is my site, right? Shouldn’t I be able to pick whatever I want? >.>)

….Anyways, here are the next steps:

1) Jasmin will be rewarded her $50 Visa Gift Card.

2) A conference between all the participants will be held.

3) Decisions will be made based on the conference for the final design. You’ll see that December 1! ^_^

Although Entry #6 is the winner, this contest wasn’t about the best looking logo. We want a logo that TRULY represents us. So, based on Jasmin’s design, we will see what is right about it and how we can improve it to be the true ELE logo that we want it to be.

What do you think should be added to this logo? Let me know in the comments.

I like helping those who need help. Kind of like superman without the tights. To put it simply, you are in the right place. Thanks for reading.

Congrats, but I think it should be an Engine symbol, that consist of all relevant streams.

Congrats to the winner for a job welldone!!!! But i think the world symbol should look more beautiful and mature so as to reflect the group even from afar. Also, the color designs should be reviewed. Thumbs up!!!!!!

Brilliant logo! How about representing possible engineering fields - Computer Science/ IT (using a computer symbol), Electrical (using a bulb symbol), Electronics (using a diode symbol), Mechanical (maybe a hammer?), Civil, Mining and Metallurgy around the globe and place that graduation hat at the certain (i.e. on the globe)? Looking forward to seeing the final logo! Cheers!

I'm assuming that the logo is the one featured on the article, next to the title. I think that it would be cool if the logo was one monolithic color and was "extruded" from the background to give it a 3D look. After that, you can give it an isometric view and it would look more modern and eye-catching. Just some suggestions. Great website by the way!

Congrats to the winner. I do have some comments. Hope you don't mind. Firstly, I think the gear wheel should be pure black and no gradient. I think the flatter look will make it nicer (But I am not sure. This has to tried out first.) Secondly, the world. I like that idea. But, I wondering that it would be better to show all the continents. A good referenced will be like the UN's emblem or flag. So, I guess, we should this image instead (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/7/72/World_Map_WSF.svg.png) or something that can show the whole world. Lastly, the E L E text above,.... will changing to 3 different colors be too tacky? I feel that just the color black is kinda plain... but maybe that's just me. Anyway, looking forward to the new logo!.

Hi all. Congratulations to the winner! I can understand the meaning of the symbols on the theets (hat=leaving university, hammers=work, light bulb=people full of new ideas) but the atom and the 'justice' symbol leaves me perplexed

      1) light bulb also = electricity --> many engineering disciplines use this...as WELL as the "new idea" bit.. 2) atom = the root of all things, the reason chemistry and physics exist, the reason we study them, the basis upon which all things (and therefore our designs) are based... 3) that scale that I assume is the justice symbol could mean many things...i.e. gravity, isaac newton, physics, statics (balance of forces), social and general justice...
